Top 10 things to do in the Phoenix area

I noticed a list on MSN.COM about the Top Ten "Must try" experiences in the US (January 11, 2005). Out of curiosity I checked it out, and have listed it for you below. OK, OK, So, So, Oh well. Must have been done by somebody in a desk in Seattle, using the Internet. According to the good folks at MSN, these "popular landmarks" and "must-visit restaurant(s) or bar(s)" are Phoenix's ultimate top 10 experiences. On the left, below, is the original list, and to the right you will find my improved, corrected list.

1. Camelback Mountain, Echo Canyon Recreation Area E McDonald Dr, Phoenix, AZ Scramble to the top of a magnificent red rock pile and gaze at the best bird's-eye views of the valley.

2. Durant's 2611 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ Lounge in a plush leatherette booth as you sip an icy, ambrosial martini under dim red lighting.

3. El Chorro Lodge 5550 E Lincoln Dr, Paradise Valley, AZ Sit on a patio surrounded by a rugged desert landscape as your taste buds explode around a sticky-bun brunch.

4. Herberger Theatre Center 222 E Monroe St, Phoenix, AZ Get here early to enjoy coffee in the lobby before taking your seat in the valley's best-equipped live theater.
